I became interested in museums and collections management after realizing that an archaeologist’s work has only begun after the artifacts are out of the ground. I am a firm believer in the value of collections-based research and the need for the kind of care required to ensure access to them. My career has allowed me to travel not only the United States, but the entire world through time with museum collections.
In my free time, I love to find new hiking trails to explore. I'm always excited to go to a restaurant or brewery with friends! Collections of my own include fountain pens, comics, nail polish, and handmade ceramic mugs. I was also a Zumba instructor for six years and love dancing to a good reggaeton beat!
I acknowledge my home in Seattle is on the lands of the Coast Salish peoples, whose ancestors have resided here since time immemorial. Many Indigenous peoples thrive in this place—alive and strong.
