My journal article on the Brogley rockshelter ceramics originally began as my undergraduate capstone seminar paper. I was already interested in collections management and wanted to learn how museum collections were used from the researcher perspective. My goal was to find a way to use the available data and increase interest in the collection. I continued to develop the paper for submission to a peer-reviewed journal after graduation. Although the site had been excavated by an avocational archaeologist and its collection hardly studied, my analysis supported stratigraphic integrity of the floor deposits.
